Our P.A.S.S. Framework
Our P.A.S.S. framework is the core approach that guides all of HAV CIC's work. P.A.S.S. stands for Protection, Access, Stability and Support. It helps us move people from crisis and confusion towards safety, stability and long-term independence.
Protection
We prioritise the safety, rights and dignity of every person we work with. This includes safeguarding, confidentiality and creating safe, welcoming spaces where people are listened to and respected.
Access
We remove practical barriers so that people can reach the services they need – such as health care, benefits, education, legal advice and community support. We focus on clear information, translation where possible and step-by-step guidance.
Stability
We help people move towards a more stable life by supporting them with housing-related issues, income, routines, skills and connections. Stability is the bridge between emergency help and long-term progress.
Support
We offer consistent, person-centred support – not just one-off contacts. Through outreach, group sessions and follow-up, we walk alongside people, build trust and encourage them to take active steps towards their own goals.
This framework shapes how we design programmes, train our team and measure impact across all of HAV CIC's work.
How We Work
Needs-led
Our programmes are shaped by direct engagement with families, young people and community partners.
Collaborative
We work in partnership, not in isolation, aligning our efforts with existing services and community structures.
Accountable
We commit to transparency in our governance, finances and impact reporting.
Forward-looking
Our 2026–2030 Strategic Plan provides a clear roadmap for HAV's development, growth and long-term contribution to the community.
